Charter of good conduct

Our events bring together riders, teams, partners, exhibitors, and visitors around a shared passion for equestrian sport. To guarantee everyone a safe and respectful experience, in line with our commitments to animal welfare and the environment, we have established this code of conduct. It outlines the essential principles that govern life on the site and the smooth running of our competitions. Participation in our events implies acceptance of these shared commitments.

1. Responsibility and safety

  • I strictly adhere to the signage and traffic regulations on the site.
  • I follow safety instructions in case of fire or incident and I familiarize myself with evacuation plans.
  • I am aware of the electrical hazards associated with temporary installations and I undertake not to install myself inappropriately or without prior validation from the OC.
  • I am aware of the risks associated with connecting power strips in series and I undertake not to carry out any dangerous installation.
  • Any specific electrical or technical installation must be validated by the OC.
  • I keep my dogs on a leash at all times.
  • Any assistance provided by the OC for maneuvers or parking remains assistance; the owner and/or driver of the vehicle remains solely responsible for the vehicle and its consequences.
  • I release the OC from all liability in the event of an accident, material or bodily damage, particularly in parking lots and traffic areas, involving my vehicle, my staff or my horses.

3. Animal welfare & sports ethics

The events organized by Grand Prix are committed to the EquuRES certification process. EquuRES is the leading label promoting environmental and animal welfare. This certification is valid throughout the event, and we kindly ask you to respect the following practices:
  • I respect the well-being of horses, both when riding and in the stables.
  • I ensure that my horses always have clean, high-quality forage, appropriate feed, and constant access to drinking water.
  • I respect good riding practices.
  • I make sure that my horses' training is adapted to their physical abilities, age, and level of maturity in their discipline.
  • I forbid myself any abusive method or one that generates fear or stress, and I do not resort to any abusive practice or one that is contrary to FEI standards.
  • I ensure that the vehicles used for transporting horses are safe, well ventilated, maintained to high standards, regularly disinfected and driven by competent personnel.
  • When travelling, I plan the journeys carefully and give my horses regular rest periods with access to water and food, in accordance with current FEI guidelines.
  • I undertake to strictly comply with the regulations regarding doping and medication; any illicit use of substances or inappropriate treatment constitutes a serious threat to the welfare of the horse.
  • I am familiar with the FEI competition program and the FEI Code of Conduct for the Welfare of the Horse and refer to it in my practice (document available on the official FEI website). here).
  • I respect the decisions of officials, judges and commissioners.
  • I respect sport and its values.
  • I adopt a fair and loyal attitude towards other riders.

4. Respect for community life and the environment

  • I am polite and respectful towards the teams, the OC, the officials, the volunteers, the exhibitors and the other riders.
  • I respect the stables, the exhibitors' village, the public spaces and the infrastructure made available.
  • I leave the common areas (especially toilets and showers) clean, as I would like to find them.
  • I don't smoke in the stables.
  • I don't throw my cigarette butts on the ground.
  • I collect, dispose of and sort my waste in accordance with the systems in place on the site.
  • I leave no rubbish in the boxes when I leave.
  • I limit my waste production (plastics, packaging, etc.).
  • I respect natural areas, lawns, plantings and infrastructure.
  • When possible, I favour responsible practices (reducing paper printing, sharing transport, reusable equipment).
  • I adopt an eco-responsible approach to my water and energy consumption (showers, electrical connections, lighting, etc.).
  • I adopt a responsible and respectful attitude during parties and social gatherings.
