Four Nations Cups that will thrill Compiègne from April 16 to 19, 2026
The CSIO Youth in Compiègne is a special event in the season, since the competition is contested under the colors of nations.
The CSIO Youth in Compiègne is a unique event in the season, as the competition is held under the national flag. Selected by their respective federations, young riders from all over Europe will represent their countries in a format that gives the sport a collective dimension much rarer in show jumping. In Compiègne, this principle will be applied across four age categories: the Pony Nations Cup (12-16 years), the Children's Nations Cup (12-14 years), the Junior Nations Cup (14-18 years), and the Young Riders Nations Cup (16-21 years). This diversity is what makes the event so unique and enriching. The heart of the weekend will beat to the rhythm of the Nations Cups, held on Friday and Saturday. In these team competitions, the stakes go beyond the individual ranking: each round also counts towards the result of the nation represented. The pressure then shifts in nature, as riders must simultaneously perform for themselves, manage the key moments of the competition, and contribute to a shared strategy. This is what makes these events so special: the cohesion, the team spirit, and the ability of young riders to rise to the occasion in a particularly demanding international context. On Sunday, the program will then switch to individual competition with the Young Riders Grand Prix, contested at 1,45m. After the team events will come the direct confrontation, with a final round where each rider will compete for their own ranking. Between national pride, learning at the highest level, and top-tier sporting competition, the CSIO Youth in Compiègne will offer a concentrated dose of the most formative and spectacular aspects that international show jumping can produce for the younger generation.
