Before the obstacles,
the sand.
A rare encounter between the Normandy sea and equestrian art.
On Wednesday, May 27, from 14 p.m. to 14:30 p.m., Élisa Laville will be setting up her horses on the beach in Cabourg, near the municipal swimming pool. Known for her performances combining freedom, choreography, and animal rapport, the artist is leaving the confines of the racecourse to take over a natural stage—that of the sand and the waves.
Thirty minutes outdoors, open to all: residents, holidaymakers, families. No ticket or reservation required.

Elisa Laville
Equestrian artist Élisa Laville develops a practice where the horse is neither a tool nor a silent partner, but a performer in its own right. Her shows—free-range, choreographed, and performed in close collaboration with her horses—explore the fragile yet powerful bond between humans and animals.
In Cabourg, she will leave the racecourse track for an afternoon to offer the public a rare interlude: an equestrian show designed for the sea, the sand and the wind.

The sand is just a parenthesis. The very next day, Elisa Laville is back on the trail.
From Thursday 28 to Sunday 31 May, the equestrian artist provides the on-track shows for the competition organized at the Cabourg racecourse, where international riders take turns over four days.
A week dedicated to horses, on the Côte Fleurie.
