Juliette Faligot won the Grand Prix CSI 3* Longines de la région Normandie, the highlight of the sixth edition of LONGINES DEAUVILLE CLASSIC, this afternoon in Calvados. Riding Arqana de Riverland, the Northern France rider won a jump-off that opposed twenty-two competitors. Victor Bettendorf and Marc Dilasser shared second place with Mr. Tac and E2K Abricot Ennemmelle. The Luxembourg rider also won the Challenge du Haras d’Authuit, while Toscane Carloni Richard distinguished herself in the Grand Prix CSI 1 * Les Cures Marines de Trouville. In addition to the sport, the event had many other activities for young and old alike, including the Longines Equestrian Challenge Normandie, the Deauville Classic Auction and the Norman breeds village.
For this second edition of the DEAUVILLE CLASSIC AUCTION, 13 foals and embryos and 13 performers were presented by the Fences Agency. The 450 guests invited by the Fences Agency and the numerous public who remained on the stage until the end witnessed some very nice bidding battles. The Top Price of the foals went to MY STAR D’ALTENBACH daughter of Chacco Blue from the beautiful Usha van t Roosakker’s line, who raised the counters to 43 000€. On the performers’ side, the €200,000 ceiling was exceeded twice: for PURSA VAN DEN DAEU, impressive winner of the 7-year-olds at the CIR de Cluny, who became the property of the Haras de Lerchenberg for €230,000, and for the spectacular and very promising 5-year-old CLOE NEWCASTLE Z, who was sold for €210,000 to a consortium of four renowned riders: Laurent Guillet, Emmanuel Portet, Philippe Leoni and Nicolas Delmotte, who will be in charge of her operation.
